Pulse

Standing at the ocean’s edge, your senses come alive, your skin drinking in the smell and taste of the salty air. As if driven by some ancient drum, the waves roll in, crashing pounding, keeping the primordial beat. It is the heartbeat, the pulse, of Mother Earth.

What drives this drum, what makes it tick? Did you ever stop to think about it?

And what about us, if I am still, there is a pulse inside of me that I can feel.

What about you? Can you feel it too?

It’s the force that gives life and intelligence to the plants and animals and elements.

It’s what makes love, children and gardens grow,  It’s what tells the flowers when to open and close.

It’s what connects all things in an infinite web,  It’s how the ocean and moon dance, flow and ebb.

It’s what keeps the universe in perfect spirals and orbits, It’s the Pulse inside every single one of us.
