Ah, the amazing American Southwest. Whether you’re in Grand Canyon or driving through the Navajo Reservation, witnessing the wonders of a desert monsoon or wandering the sandstone mazes of Zion and Bryce, it is easy to get lost in time. There is something magical about these vast landscapes that brings us into the timeless now, that eternal dimension that is free of worry and concern over the silly little things that us humans fret over day in and day out. Maybe that is why we keep coming back. Maybe that is why we are drawn to these places and seek them out again and again. This painting is of no place in particular, but was inspired after an especially beautiful drive through Monument Valley.
