Stone Kachina

This is an early piece inspired by the view from Upper Stone Creek, a tributary to the Colorado River in Grand Canyon. Looking back towards the river, you can see the “stone hoodoos” that very much resemble the old style kachinas carved by the Hopis. This side canyon is full of ruins and traces of the Ancient Ones.
