This is another early Grand Canyon piece. This painting resembles the view looking up stream, from Granite Falls. Featured in the back ground is the prominent rock peak, Zoroaster. I was just learning that I could include different elements and place names into a painting whether or not it accurately represented “real life”. If I wanted it to be an exact representation, I would take a photograph! So, although you cannot “really” see Zoroaster from Granite Falls, it is there, in that general direction. Just like you cannot see the sun when it is obscured by clouds, it is still there.
